Perpignan is over. Let’s move on!

In a gathering of thousands of photographers, there is of course a lot of playfull photography. In every corner of the city there are people playing arround with their cameras.

Things are still warming up at the Palais du Congrés. The major agencies were yesterday still making the final preparations in their stands.

This is the on-line part of my feature that was published in ‘Única’, the magazine of the Portuguese weekly newspaper Expresso. It is about the typical neighborhood called Bica, its day-time inhabitants and theirs relationship with the nightlife. Click the banner to jump to the on-line gallery.

I am now preparing the last details for my trip to this year’s Visa Pour l’Image festival at Perpignan. It’s not just the portfolios that I will bring, but also some other compromises that must be taken care of, such as the daily blog that I maintain in the online edition of portuguese newspaper Expresso, ‘Pantufa Negra’. I’ve been trying some manually stiched panoramas. Surprinsingly enough, I found out that the technical perfection of the stiching is far less important than one could expect. In the case of the above picture, I did no stiching at all, just overlaped the adjacent photos.
