New Year 2009 Ano Novo

www.de-coracao.pt

I’ve been shooting the creations of “de Coração” almost since the firm’s beginning and it was about time to do a major update to its not-updated-since-kick-off website. The product line has more than doubled over the last year but that wasn’t shown anywhere. Plus, there was already a great deal of pictures to be shown. Most of them are on line now.

Tourists

Lorvão

Raed Bawayah

The exhibition I enjoyed the most so far was Raed’s ‘Living in Palestine’. The next day I was lucky enough to actually meet him and the day after that (yesterday) I took him this picture. His work is inspiring in a way that makes one want to go out and take better pictures. He totally controls light. When I saw his photographs I thought about his timings. He works in medium format and makes his own prints. He obviously takes as much time as he needs to achieve his wonderful results.

Júlio Pomar and Álvaro Siza

Christopher Morris

For two days I had the privilege of attending a seminar on photojournalism, in which the main speaker was this man. The other two speakers were António Pedro Ferreira and Luís Catarino. They are not as internationally known as Chris, but their work is also very insping to me. It was awsome. All of it.

Fado at the Tramway

I’m the guest author of December 2006 at the photography site Pontos de Vista. I’m presenting a portfolio titled “Fado at the Tramway”, which I’m also adding here to luisfaustino.com.
