My passion for photography goes back to as far as I can remember. In 2005 I decided to take my chances on becoming a professional photographer, so I entered etic_ school in Lisbon, to study documentary photography and photojournalism.
The main lecturers were Luísa Ferreira and Ângelo Lucas. The course covered topics as wide as war photography, social documentary, sports and politics reportage, photographic essay, digital post-processing and even some highlights on journalistic writing.
Before the decision of embracing photography as a full-time pro, I finished my degree in electrical engineering and worked among the computer stuff between 1999 and mid-2006. During the university years I joined (and later directed) the photographic art club, NAF. During that period I had the opportunity to experiment a great deal of photography types and equipments, as well as teaching 101 photo & BW lab courses.
By the end of 2006 I finished an internship at 4see photographers agency, which now represents my work outside Portugal. I’m a freelance photographer, available to assignments of any kind, but with a special interest in photojournalism.
