Here you can find some older works, mostly migrated from previous versions of luisfaustino.com. To have an idea of the kind of works I’m currently doing hit the  ‘Works’ page – which actually is a search result of the posts categorized under ‘Work’. Most of the time I feel that my work is for my clients and I shouldn’t be bragging about it on the web, so what I’ll be doing is post some sample work pictures from time to time.

O que é que a Bica tem?

August 2007

This feature was an assignment for ‘Única’, the magazine of the Portuguese weekly Expresso. It is about the typical neighborhood called Bica, its day-time inhabitants and their relationship with the nightlife. Some of these photographs were published on the paper edition, some others made it to the gallery in the on-line edition.

Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome

May 2007

Twice a year, Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome runs a national campaign to collect donations, on top of it’s every-day work in distributing food to the needed. These campaigns are volunteer-based, with most of Portuguese humanitarian organizations playing a major role.
Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome is a non-profit organization based in Lisbon, with branches in many other Portuguese cities and associated with similar European NGO’s.

Fátima: Cult Objects

November 2006

Fatima Sanctuary sells millions of religious objects to pilgrims every year. From candles to fluorescent statues of the Virgin Mary almost everything is allowed to pay respect to the holy place or simply to take home a souvenir.

XII TUIST

March 2007

An yearly festival of music by college students groups, called ‘Tunas’.
The repertoire is mostly portuguese and spanish popular music, although some times they also interpret some classical and world music themes.

Fado at the Tramway

June 2006

During the month of June the Lisbon Festivities invade the Tramway in the form of Fado.
Singers and players bring their art to what in the rest of the year is a normal line, attracting quite a broad audience. Fado lovers, friends and neighbours of the musicians, tourists and common curious people, all join the regular passengers in the craziest carriers of the year.
